Andriychuk V. Peculiarities of diagnosis and tactics in treatment of acute pyelonephritis in patients with diabetes mellitus

The dissertation is dedicated to the quantitative advancement in rendering the specialized help to patients with acute pyelonephritis (plus diabetes mellitus) through the development of ways to delimit its stages using the widespread methods of examination in clinical practice of various medical institutions. For this purpose, the complex of informative signs was defined and which were qualitatively evaluated (in marks), and a special map was compiled out of prognostic data. By the instrument in taking a decision is the integral coefficient that represents the sum of signs-marks detected in patients. With the aim to optimate and to unify the actions, there were grounded and offered by the coefficient values three groups to separate the patients and every group has the delimited values of its own. So, the individualization in treating tactics is guaranteed and its effficacy is being determined, by the indicator of which serve the changes in coefficient values in dynamics. It was proved that such approach allowed to reduce twice the number of nephrectomies caused by acute pyelonephritis in patients with diabetes mellitus that has medical social values.
