The essence and role of editor's column of such popular and leading newspapers of Iran as "Salam", "Keykhan" and "Resalat" from the point of view of its thematic orientation, genre structure and social significance are analyzed. The peculiarities of editorial are investigated in detail that allowed formulating integral concept of editor's column as a mouthpiece of policy of any edition. The principal economical, political, professional problems and problems regulated by government, connected with functioning of modern informational space of Iran, are examined. An important fundamentally new material has been introduced into scientific use, which contributes to forming of personal merits of the author of editorial material.
