Essay

The dissertation is devoted to research of Neolithic archaeological cultures of South-Eastern Ukraine, the problems of their genesis, periodisation, chronology. Analysis of flint complexes of Neolithic sites allowed to define doneck (4 stages, last third of VII - VI mil BC), Tuba (3 stages, last third of VII - VI ВС) and Platovsky Stav (2 stages, second half VII - first half of VI mil BC) cultures. The questions of the place of these cultures in Eastern Europe Neolith are cleared out. Doneck and Tuba cultures were part of Dnipro-Doneck historical-cultural Region, the cultures of which (ceramic stage of Kukrek, Janislavickaya, Kiev-Cherkasska, Doneck, Tuba, Lisogubivska, Verhnodniprovska, Strumil and others) are characterized by having familiar elements of material culture in flint and ceramic complexes, Platovsky Stav - by a part of Lower Volga historical- cultural region, cultures of which (Siroglazivska, Platovsky Stav, sites of Black Sea seaside of Caucasus) had common elements in flint complexes only.
