Abramicheva O. The theory and practice of Neogrammarianism in the Ukrainian and Russian linguistics.

The work is devoted to the problem of the influence of the Neogrammarianism on the development of the Ukrainian and Russian linguistics of the 70s of the XIX th – 30s of the XX th centuries within the framework of the ontological, teleological and operational components of the comparative-historical method. Special emphasis is laid on the techniques and procedures of the comparative-historical method in the works of Neogrammarians, Ukrainian and Russian comparativists. They are genetic identification of the facts, reconstruction of the archetype, chronologization and localization of language phenomena. With the help of historical-scientific reconstruction the degree of Neogrammarians’ influence on the Ukrainian and Russian linguists is revealed. Originality of the ideas of the Ukrainian and Russian scholars and their contribution to the comparative-historical linguistics are defined.
