Object of the study: Patients with psoriasis. Purpose of the study: To improve the efficacy of treatment and rehabilitation of the patients with psoriasis by means of influence on the processes of lipid peroxidation due to the use of differentiated therapeutic-rehabilitation schemes including combination of nonspecific stimulators of the antioxidant system. Methods of the investigation: General clinical: examination, history taking, determining the form and duration of the disease, control of the treatment efficacy, laboratory studies; dermatological: the study of the skin morphofunctional characteristics, biochemical: determining the parameters of the antioxidant system; immunological: determining the parameters of cellular, humoral, phagocyte immunity; statistical: evaluation of the data significance. Theoretical and practical results: The method of psoriasis treatment based on the use of lyophilic egg phosphatidyl choline (Lipin) and combination of vitamins Tri-Vi Plus together with a course of intravenous infusions of medical ozone differentiated depending on the form and duration of treatment was worked out. Reasonability of the suggested technique, their high efficacy, safety and simplicity of use were proven. When planning the di-agnostic and preventive measures in patients with the disease du-ration >2 years it is necessary to consider the potential probability of toxic LP products accumulation in the organism, antioxidant in-sufficiency which determines the necessity to study this parame-ters as the criteria of the treatment efficacy. The suggested scheme allows to reduce the duration of hospital treatment by 5 days, re-duce the incidence of relapses 1,75-2.87 times during the first year of observation and promotes a stable clinical effect (up to 3 years) as well as can be used as an anti-relapse treatment. Novelty: High therapeutic efficacy, pathogenetic substantiation, safety and advantages of the suggested technique including and antioxidant complex (Lipin) and a cycle of ozone therapy proce-dures as nonspecific stimulators of the antioxidant system when compared with the traditional methods of treatment were shown. The study allowed to establish that systemic membrane pathology and endotoxicosis due to accumulation of LP products together with antioxidant insufficiency play a role in the disease patho-genesis. It was shown that the beginning of the disease is accom-panied by adaptive intensification of antioxidant system parame-ters aimed at compensation of LP processes and homeostasis maintenance followed by inhibition of anti-radical protection fac-tors and antioxidant system volume. It was established that dys-balance between LP and AOP increases depending on the form of the disease which requires a differentiated therapeutic approach. A therapeutic combination including antioxidant drug Lipin, a course of ozone therapy and antioxidant vitamin complex Tri-Vi Plus should be administered at first, this favorably influences the state of redox balance in the organism and improves the course of thedisease. Degree of introduction: The findings of the research were intro-duced into the work of city clinical dermatology hospital No. 5 (Kharkiv). The findings of the research are used in the teaching process at department of skin, venereal diseases and AIDS of Kharkiv State Medical University. Sphere of application: Medicine, dermatovenereolgy depart-ments, hospitals.
