Blahovirna N. Role of "The Ukrainian Publishing Association" (1899-1932) in the Formation of National Bases of Editorial and Publishing Activity.

Considered is the activity of "The Ukrainian Publishing Association" (1899-1932). Carried out is thematic-typological analysis of UPA's publishing products, highlighted are the main factors and principles of publishing repertoire's formation, researched is the author and reader environment of the association, observed is the implementation of commercialization principles of publishing sphere, described is the main circle of association's contributors. Researched is the influence of UPA's products upon development of a single variant of literary language. Clarified is the role of that time's periodicals in formation of publishing business as a type of professional activity. Traced is the heredity of traditions in the publishing sphere of Western Ukraine. Complete bibliographic index of UPA's publishing products was created for the first time.
