Object - processes of soil formation in sandy and sandy-loam soils of river terraces of left-bank Forest-steppe of Ukraine, which develop in natural and cultural geoecosystems. The purpose - revealing of the general laws of development of process of soil formation in natural and cultural ecosystems on river terraces and definition of ways of rational use sandy and sandy-loam soils. Methods are a complex of field and laboratory investigations of stationary objects located in a valley r. S. Donets and river terrace of other rivers of left-bank Forest-steppe of Ukraine by results of forwarding researches. The laboratory analysis of a soil cover of objects of investigations carried out with the help of physical, chemical, physical and chemical and other methods. Also lysimetric investigations and microvegetative experiments were carried out. Theoretical results are the basic complex and the complete set of elementary soil processes (ESP) that has allowed to formulate the important laws of soil formation isallocated and to attribute light soils of river terraces to burozem type (burozems with iron accumulation), and in cultural ecosystems to allocate agrozems burozemic. Practical results - on the basis of determined main physical, chemical, physical and chemical and other parameters sandy and sandy-loam soils of river terraces of the rivers of Forest-steppe of Ukraine in natural and cultural biogeocenosises the basic ways of rational soils’ use in rural and wood facilities are offered, 14 types of the grounds is allocated, the nomenclature list of soils which can be used at drawing up of large-scale soil maps is developed. Novelty consists in the complex approach of studying sandy and sandy-loam soils in view of evolution of a landscape, influence of gleization, comparative character natural and cultural ecosystems, that has allowed to allocate a direction of soil formation to develop the updated classification positions and ways of further rational soils’ use. Degree of introduction - substantive provisions ofdissertation are used in system of the main scientific research of G.M.Vysotsky institute of a forestry and agroforestamelioration, and the theory of development of soil formation and typology of the grounds are accepted for introduction in educational process in Kharkov NAU by V.V.Dokuchaev, at the Kharkov national pedagogical university by G.S. Skovoroda, in system of branches of Institute of land management UAAS, in the Ukrainian scientific research institute of a forestry and agroforestamelioration by G.M.Vysotsky. Range - a agricultural.
