Essay

The stages of formation and development of the crosscultural management system are investigated in the dissertation. The existing approaches to the economic treatment of concept "culture" are considered and its national, corporate and organizational versions are investigated. The methods of the empirical and theoretical analysis of national business - cultures are analysed. The author presents the characteristic of the most widespread nowadays styles of management - Western (West-European and American), East and East-European. It is necessary to relate the countries with transitive economy, including Ukraine, to so-called East-European style, what is characterized by imperfection, changing and heterogeneity of the approaches to methods of management which are being used in these countries. The study and comparison of all these management styles are the main task of the forming of the crosscultural management technique. The national features of some types of the organizational structures - functional, product-oriented, regional, international division, matrix, holding, virtual and globally integrated - are analysed. The advantages and disadvantages of the using of these organizational forms in view of their branch and national identification, and also stage of development of the international corporation are determined. The spontaneous process of the intercorporate management gets the structured form as precise definition and formulation of the rules of mutual relations between parent company and foreign divisions. Their relations, sphere of activity, responsibility and monitoring system are precisely regulated. The characteristic features of the international management of human resources are considered. The existing types of hiring the personnel (etno-, poli- and geocentral approaches), the concept and status of the expatriates in conditions of international business activity are investigated, and also the rating to all stages of the career cycle of expatriates is given. Expatriation as one of the most typical processes of the international human resources management nowadays is characterized by the concrete distinctive reasons of the occurrence. Using of the expatriates' work by the multinational organizations is caused by practical introduction of corporate culture and adjustment of productions in different countries of the world in a context of expansion geography of their activity. Ukrainian companies involve expatriates first of all for the deducing the enterprises from crisis or stage of stagnation and with the purpose of formation of the trust at the world market to Ukrainian enterprises, presented by the international managers.
