Skrypnyk V. The Peculiarities of the Social-Psychological Adaptation of the First-Year Students having Special Needs

The dissertation thesis is dedicated to the studies of the sociological-psychological adaptation of the first-year students: 1 - with special needs, 2 - normal and 3 - cadets-frontier-guards. The essence of the social-psychological adaptation of the disabled students, its model, the development mechanisms and their influence on the dynamics of the separate psychic indicators, behavior and progress in studies have been revealed The author has found out the objective and subjective determinants of the social-psychological adaptation of the first-year students, the peculiarities of their values, social status, psychic conditions and behavior styles. The author has determined the differences in the adaptation of the disabled students and the students with the normal health condition. The author has designed and approved the program of the psychological accompaniment of the handicapped students using the methods of group and individual psychopreventive, psycho-correction work, which gave positive results.
