Germanova O. Copyright and Neighboring Rights in Mass Media of Ukraine and Poland.

During the dissertation the divergence between Ukrainian and Polish legislation in regulations ratified by both states, in the part of application to mass media activity, was analyzed; the legal mechanisms of avoiding misunderstandings between participants of the communication process during publishing the interview and distribution of the material reward/payment were found; the necessity of legible fixation and concrete definition of several legislative definitions, the absence of which makes impossible for an adequate handling of legal television and broadcast protection to be made, was grounded; the perspectives of labor relationships between journalist and employer were analyzed; the mechanisms and trends of Internet copyright regulations during contemporary stage were enucleated.
