Object of research - the combined process of dyeing by pigments and waterproof processing of textile materials; the purpose of research - creation of polymeric composite structures for simultaneous dyeing fabrics by pigments and their hydrophobization; in the work we used the thermodynamic approach to selection of polymeric components of dye-finishing compositions and hydrophobizing emulsions, based on estimation of thermodynamic parameters of polymers and calculation of criterion of thermodynamic compatibility. We created polymeric compositions for the combined processes of pigmentary dyeing and hydrophobization of textile materials. We calculated the thermodynamic parameters of polymers compatibility and on this basis we made theoretically proved selection of polymers for simultaneous dyeing by pigments and hydrophobization of fabrics. On the basis of calculation of thermodynamic parameters of polymer-hydrophobizer and emulsifier, we revealed the most effective emulsifiers for obtaining emulsions ofhydrophobizer, which have structural compatibility with a polymer and provide creation of working stable system for a long time. The offered combined technology has been approved with the positive result at the Kherson cotton combine. Field of application - finishing manufacture.
