Object of the study - Processes of the state and regional management in a context of maintenance of social security. Subject of the study - The Mechanism of social security in system of the state and regional management. Methods of research include the complex analysis, synthesis and logic generalization; the economic - statistical and comparative analysis; expert estimations; the system approach. Theoretical and practical results are as following: perfection of conceptual, legislative, legal and scientific - methodical bases of social security. Novelty is in the mechanism of the state and regional management is developed by social security, the directions of the state and regional policy directed on overcoming of inter-regional disproportions of social and economic development of Ukraine in a context of social security are determined. Degree of introduction is Council of national security and defense of Ukraine, The Ministry of labour and social policy of Ukraine, The Ministry of Economics of Ukraine, Committee of the Supreme Rada of Ukraine on questions of social policy and work, Secretary of the President of Ukraine.
