Bykova A. Capital accumulation in the system of expanded reproduction in Ukrainian economy

The dissertation sets and works out the urgent problem of investigation into the economic nature of capital accumulation, its evolution and role in the development of a new quality of society's productive forces and ensuring its economic and social development. Based on the structural-genetic and functional analysis, the essence of economic category of capital accumulation has been determined; proceeding from the modern institutional theory of ownership rights the forms of capital accumulation under present conditions have been established. The analysis of social capital made it possible to determine the forms of capital accumulation in the innovation sphere. Capital accumulation has been proved to involve not only tangible capital, but also accumulation of scientific knowledge, information and human capital. Intensification of capital accumulation is viewed as a result of an effective investment, innovation, depreciation and structure policies. The dissertation also considers the peculiarities of accumulation process in today's Ukrainian economy and suggests recommendations for its improvement.
