Batyreva I. The traditional culture of Podillya in the researches of the second half of the XIX century - beginning the of the XX century

In the thesis it is given a common characteristics of the ethnographical heritage of the researchers of the Podillian population traditional culture of the second half of the XIX century - the beginning of the XX century. On the basis of the archival, the literary resources, analysis of numerous informations of the historic-statistical, the ethnographical, the study of art material the first complex research of the scientific views and approaches of the scholars to the wide circles of the problems of the Podillian's traditional culture are revealed. The specificity of forming and the directions of the activity of the ethnographical schools on Podillya are analysed. The forms and methods at the development of the region's ethnographical researcher of the appointed period are investigated. For the first time the analysis of the Podillian diocesan historic-statistical and the province statistical committees in the ethnology sphere are put into the scientific circulation. The work of the ethnology study group of the Kamyanets'-Podilsky clerical seminary is established in detail. The collaboration of Podillian scientists with the scientists with the South-West department of the Russian Geographical Society, which is founded in Kyiv and the others Kyiv's ethnology centres, is exposed. The influence of the Polish and Russian scientists on to forming of the researches' directions of the Podillian scholars is exposed.
