Essay

Thesis examines essence, structure and development of private sector in post soviet countries. Special attention is paid to the theoretical concept elaborated by representatives of the institutional economic theory. Advantages of institutional approach over "market fundamentalism" are substantiated. Particular emphasis is placed on the analysis of institutional factors of private sector development in the Ukrainian economy. Factors structure incorporates formal and informal components that include correspondingly legal basis and economic culture.
