Otamanovskij in the field of the history of science and education, historical, jurisprudentical and, in particular, the science of local. lore of his time, and also organization of domestic scientific and educational process. Tasks put in work, we had permited with the help of general scientific receptions of research (typology, classification), inter subject (structural - system approach), own historical (chronological, rather - historical, descriptive), and also methods of source study and historiographical analysis and synthesis.
