Essay

Ph.D thesis is devoted to the study of the History of Kiev's Department of the Russian techni-cal society (1871-1919). Process of formation and functioning of this society as special form of or-ganisation of science is investigated. It's scholastic and educational activity is uncovered, the main directions of engineer's searches are examined. The scientific and pedagogical creative work of the KD RTS was in accordance of those times demands of science and educational reorganisation in Ukraine and was subordinated to solving of main social and scientific tasks.
