Kapustyns'kyj V. Impact of the activities of the European Court of Human Rights on forming of the national human rights protection systems and observance of standards for defence of human rights by the states.

The thesis deal with the research of the human rights protection activities of the European Court of Human Rights, its case-law, advisory opinions, as well as mechanisms of implementation of the European human rights defence standards into the national system of law. The research allows to draw some conclusions and make suggestions. A candidate for a degree on the basis of the conducted detailed analysis reached the conclusion about the necessity of optimization of the national system of judicial and extra-judicial defence of human rights with the purpose of diminishing number of applications lodged by the citizens against Ukraine with the European Court of Human Rights. This goal can be attained by creation of the proper strict mechanism of control over a strict observance by the national courts of Ukraine of Constitution of Ukraine, Codes and Laws of Ukraine, standards of the Council of Europe, maximal use of the case-law of the European Court of Human Rights, and also increase of efficiency of activities of national human rights protection institutions, which are called to provide the citizens with the proper defence of their rights and freedoms, guaranteed by the Constitution of Ukraine.
