Essay

The thesis deals with teaching senior students of general secondary schools Britons' lifestyle communicative behavioral patterns. The term lifestyle communicative behavioral patterns has been specified. The verbal and non-verbal components of lifestyle communicative behavioral patterns in Great Britain have been examined and compared with those in Ukraine. The methodology of teaching Britons' lifestyle communicative behavioral patterns has been theoretically substantiated and practically developed. 376 senior students have been questioned to study possible "communicative traps" for the travellers in Great Britain. The content of teaching Britons' lifestyle communicative behavioral patterns has been selected. The system of exercises to teach Britons' lifestyle communicative behavioral patterns has been created. The effectiveness of the suggested methodology has been verified and proved experimentally within two series of the experimental teaching. It has been proved that in teaching senoir students Britons' lifestyle communicative behavioral patterns both listening to and reading the texts, which contain information about Britons' lifestyle communicative behavioral patterns is more effective than only listening to or only reading them; that the complex of exercises including comparison of Britons' and Ukrainians' lifestyle communicative behavioral patterns is preferable. Methodological recommendations on organisation and implemention of teaching Britons' lifestyle communicative behavioral patterns of Britons have been developed and applied in practice in five general secondary sсhools in Ukraine.
