Research object: social-economic relations of the system of social protection of the population in condition of the market transformation. Research purpose: clarification of the economic nature of the pension provision, theoretical motivation of recommendation for buildings of the new mixed system of the pension provision in transformational economy, identical market ambience. Research methods: abstract-logical, system, statistical and benchmark analysis, economical-mathematical and multifactorial forecasting, expert estimation. Results, novelty: determination of the pension capital in narrow and broad sense is given, pension provision as system institute and mechanism of their interaction is determined, system contradiction pension provision in transformational economy is revealled and characterized, risks, which constitute a menace viability of the pension systemare classified.
