Essay

The thesis is devoted to the students’ aesthetical tastes forming process in the course of studying foreign languages. The definitions of aesthetic students’ culture, and aesthetic taste are developed. The principal pedagogical conditions of forming aesthetic taste are determined. They are the following: aesthetic-oriented teaching, taking into account the educational possibilities of the subjects, planning lessons in accordance with the methodological principles of foreign language teaching, the usage of additional teaching materials of aesthetic value. The theoretical model and methodology of aesthetic taste forming are based on the usage of additional teaching materials of aesthetical value. Belles-lettres, authentic topical texts, teaching films, painting and photography contribute to the students’ aesthetic development, motivate listening, reading as well as further speaking and writing activities. The procedure of contemplating and perception of works of art is methodologically connected with theactivities aimed at developing communicative skills. The main results of the investigation are inculcated in the teaching process of higher pedagogical establishments of different regions of Ukraine.
