Essay

The influence of cryopreservation processes without traditional cryoprotectants on morphofunctional properties of nucleated cells of human cord blood and that of preliminary hypothermic storage on the integrity of morphofunctional properties and cryoresistance of nucleated cells of human cord blood have been studied/ The protein factors of cord blood plasma which possess virus neutralizing activity have been determined. They belong to the family of interferons, immunoglobulines and properdine according to their molecular weight/ Preliminary intranasal introduction of leukoconcentrate of human cord blood was istablished as contributing to antiviral immunity production in mice. The resistance to virus infection in mice was kept during 1 year after leukoconcentrate injection. The leukoconcentrate of human cord cord blood can be considered as a new preventive mean for influenza and other respiratory viral infections. The effect of storage duration under condition of hypothermic and moderate-low temperatures on A/Victoria influenza virus preservation and cryoresistance as a part of pathological material was investigated. Different cryoresistance of virus depending on its maturaty degree was established as well.
