Essay

The dissertation is dedicated to the investigation of influence of digestible protein, carotene upon the concentration of vitamin A, general protein, its fractional composition, AST, ALT, GGT, indeces of humoral non-specific immunity in blood serum as well as upon physiological condition of mares during the last months of pregnancy and during 2 months after it. Comparative estimation of efficiency of vitamin A preparations upon functional state of mares during the last months of pregnancy and two months after delivery was conducted. It is shown that after peroral administration 700.000 ME to mares in foal the content of general protein in blood serum increased by comparison with that in a control group and in the group of animals to which it was administered parenterally and after the delivery its level came down. Vitamin A administered to mares in foal perorally increases its content in blood serum which is not observed at intramuscular administration. Peroral administration of retinoli acetatis to mares in foal increases the activity of glutamiltransaminase in post delivery period in contra distinction to its oil solution administered intramuscularly. It is found that vitamin A administered perorally to mares in foal in different periods of pregnancy increases certain indeces of humoral non-specific immunity which is not observed in mares in foal to which oil solution of vitamin A was administered intramuscularly. Some regularities of bactericide activity of blood serum (BABS), of lisocyme activity of blood serum (LABS), and B-lisin activities in mares after deliveries were determined.
