Essay

Ph.D. thesis is devoted to the study of the formation and development of colour theory of organic compounds in scientific school of Ukrainian NAS's academician Andriy I. Kiprianov (1896-1972) in context of word achievements in the area of dyes chemistry and correlation between colour and structure of organic compounds. The work analyses situation about achievements in the colour theory and problems of theoretical organic chemistry in 20-50-es of 20 century. Ph.D. thesis shows the main factors of Kiprianov's personality forming, his groving as scientist and creator of scientific school, the analysis of his scientific-research and pedagogical activity has been made. The priority of Kiprianov and his school in the area of dyes chemistry and organic compounds colority among native and foreign investigators is proved.
