Essay

Research object – the process of ensuring labor motivation at agricultural enterprises. Aim of research – the substantiation of theoretical and methodological principles and working out recommendations concerning the rise in the efficiency of high productive labor motivation mechanism in agricultural production. Theoretical and methodological basis of research – fundamental principles of the motivation theory, scientific developments on the problem of labor motivation as a socio-economic category and its peculiarities in agricultural production. Research methods – scientific-and-abstract, inductive, deductive, calculation-and-constructive, comparative graphic, abstract-and-logical as well as those of dialectic cognition, statistical-and-economic analysis, correlation-and regression analysis, sociometric interviews, expert judgments, etc. Theoretical and practical results – such concepts as “labor motivation”, “motive”, “incentive”, “needs”, “method” are specified; their interdependence, role and placein the system of personnel management are determined. The interrelationship between property income and labor productivity is established. The level of importance of moral incentives and their influence on workers in the process of labor activity is revealed. Scientific novelty – the thesis for the first time theoretically substantiates the algorithm of determining the minimum rate of wages through the transition from the actual level of Ukraine’s population nourishment to its European standards; it also specifies the delimitation of the concepts “labor motivation” and “motivation”. The paper further develops the determination of labor remuneration priority as the most important material factor in the conditions of establishing business formations and the main directions of raising wages substantiation the prospects of forming the effective mechanism of material encouragement at agricultural enterprises. Degree of introduction – the practical suggestions resulting from the research as to the effective utilization of the highly productive labor motivation mechanism have been approved of and accepted for introduction by the Central Department of Agriculture and Food-stuffs of Poltava Regional State Administration, the Agricultural Department of Poltava District State Administration and used in the educational process at Poltava Affiliated Branch of the European University. Efficiency – the research results create the concepts of forming and realizing the strategy of effective utilization of highly productive labor motivation factors at the region’s agricultural enterprises. Sphere and field of application – agricultural and agroindustrial complex economy.
