Pyesorina L. Pyesorina L.M. Linguistic means of creation of comic effect in short story (on the material of O’Henry’s, E.Kastner’s, A.P.Tchehov’s works of fiction)

The thesis is devoted to the investigation of verbal presentation of comic effect. The complex analysis is allowed to determine the levels of productivity of linguostylistic means of creation of comic effect on the basis of comparative analysis for defining common and different tendencies in selection of lexical material for realization of individual author’s pragmatics. Analysis of short stories proved that compression and compactness of linguistic means characterize their style. In the process of analysis of short stories and using the statistical data of the present scientific research the following productive means of the comic are distinguished: proper names, occasional words, pun, syntactic convergence, attributive word combinations. The linguostylistic analysis of functioning of verbal means of the comic effect in English, German and Russian is carried out.
