Object - process of formation of the effective economic mechanism of use of natural resources of Ukraine; the pur-pose - deepening of theoretic-methodological bases of im-provement of the economic mechanism of water use; a method - logic-dialectic, economic-mathematical, economic forecasting, abstract-logic; the novelty - is developed func-tional model of the economic mechanism of water use, a matrix of development of the strategic decisions in sphere of water resources management of Ukraine, the methodical approach of definition of cost of water resources and concept state of rent policy is advanced, the technology of forecasting of a condition of water economy is offered on the basis of modeling the economic mechanism of water use and market demand; The results - are developed scientific situations, methodical approaches and practical recommendations con-cerning formation of the market guided economic mecha-nism of natural resources use; area - is introduced into eco-nomic practice.
