Essay

Object of study: motivation of firms' managers. The goal is to develop theoretical principles and applicable recommendations to improve managerial motivation in the management system of firm. Methods: generalization and induction, cluster analysis, expert estimates approach, dispersion analysis, correlation analysis. Methodological recommendations on how to choose between different methods to motivate managers have been developed for the first time. We have also enhanced methodological recommendations on how to evaluate managerial performance. The meaning of terms "motif", "stimulus", "motivation", "stimulation", classification of the types of motives and incentives have been elaborated and narrowed. We have built up the capability to distinguish the main principles of managerial motivation and factors that influence the outcomes of motivation methods as applied to firms' managers, managerial motivation model. The results of this research have been utilized for both learning and production processes. They have also been used to enhance the supervision of firms' managers.
