Essay

In the research the coming-into-being of M. Montessori personality as a teacher and humanist of education of children with the limited intellectual development, the main stages of her scientific and research biography are defined. The problem of early development and free education of children in pedagogical heritage of M. Montessori is investigated, psycholodical and pedagogical nditions of the problem are found. The essence and contents of pedagogical activities of the Italian researcher is shown and her contribution to the organization of assistance to children with limited intellectual оpportunities is stressed. Perspective ways of creative use of pedagogical experience of M. Montessori in modern special school are described and theoretically grounded. The analysis of scientific heritage of M. Montessori gives us reasons to certify that her pedagogical views are still actual. Montessori's pedagogical system provides us with real possibilities for introducing integral education
