Object of research: experimental chronic subclinical and sharp nitrate-nitrite toxicosis at bull-calves, antioxydant system, sour oxide of lipids. Purpose of research: to learn influencing of nitrates in amounts from 0,1 to 0,5 gr NО3?/kg of body mass of ani-mal on activity of enzymes of the antioxydant system of organism subject to the condition increase of levels of ag-gressive products of the sour oxide of lipids which appear at nitrate toxicosis. Methods of research: pharmacological, toxicological, clinical, physiologo-biochemical, biometrical. Scientific novelty: the new aspects of pathogeny of nitrate-nitrite toxicosis are exposed at bull-calves, in particular, influence of them is set on the system of antioxydant de-fence. The dynamics of indexes of the physiology state of organism, exchange of matters, activity of enzymes is stud-ied in blood of bull-calves at development of different forms of nitrate-nitrite toxicosis. Explored influence of an-tioxidants (phenarone and methiphene) on the system of antioxydant defence of organism and level of products of the sour oxide of lipids at feeding the bull-calves of ni-trates in the dose of 0,2 gr NО3?/kg. It is set that the toxic action of nitrates shows up in two directions. On the first stage there is methaemoglobineducation and education of free radicals, which on the second stage initiate the proc-esses of the sour oxide of lipids and draw a disbalance in the system "Sour oxide of lipids ? Antioxydant system" which results in the defeat of liver. It is proved that application of methiphene in experiments on bull-calves is let in on the ground above phenarone in warning of development of subclinical nitrate-nitrite toxi-cosis. Degree of introduction: as a result of researches one declara-tive patent of Ukraine is got on an invention. Sphere (field) of using: in an educational process from a course there is veterinary pharmacology and toxicology.
