Essay

The Thesis is devoted to investigation of well-known Ukrainian mikrobiologist academician V.G.Drobotko's life and creative activities. On the basisl of complete analizing the large massif of archives and literary sources on demonstrates that his scientific, scentific-organizational and scentific-popular activities promoted the development of microbiological science in Ukraine during the 30-60-ties of XX th century. In the D.Zabolothy Institute of Microbiology of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine V.G.Drobotko founded the scientific school which worked in order to receive antimicrobial preparations from higher plants.
