Essay

In this thesis for the first time in domestic science the integrated study of the Ukrainian sports periodicals of Galician Ukrainians is conducted. The history of establishment and development, conditions of functioning are examined; the establishment process is reproduced in chronological order; the task, structure, architectonics, meaning content are studied; founder, publishers, editors and authors of this type of the press are determined. Versatile informational and publicistic heritage is analyzed, its main problem and subject aspects are determined, the role and place of sports Galician periodicals are characterized in the system of all-Ukrainian journalism.
