Burlakova O. Revival of Ukraine’s Higher Education in the European Educational Area.

The dissertation focuses on the research of the mechanisms and ways of the revival of Ukraine’s higher education in the process of its European integration. The author analyzes the system reforms of higher education, reveals the theoretical bases of the development of Ukraine’s higher education in the 21st century, defines the economic components, tendency and procedure of the system reforming, and proves the necessity of integrating Ukraine’s higher education into the European educational area. The author is convinced that quality is an integral component of higher education potential; it is internationally recognized and it is laid into the foundation of the acknowledged strategies of the development of higher education not only as a philosophic but also as a political category. The researcher emphasizes the leading role of the State in ensuring the quality of higher education and comes to the conclusion that the substantiation and the actualization of the concept of high education are connected withthe creation of State standards and definite procedures of the calculations of quality indicators in conformity with the requirements of the Bologna Convention.Key words: the Bologna Convention, higher education, educational potential, the European educational area, the European integration, social-economic efficiency of education, quality of education.
