Essay

The dissertation presents the theoretical and experimental research on how the type of the child's activity affects the efficiency of foreign language course. The governmental programs of preschool children education are analyzed, and feasibility of implementation of the main requirements thereof in the process of foreign language teaching management considered. The main principles underlying psychologically safe and pedagogically grounded conditions of foreign language teaching and learning are set, substantiated and tested. The evidence was found that the learning efficacy results from the activity approach where non-verbal activity covers the teaching-learning process thus leading cognitive development of children and maintaining their learning motivation. Specific language activities based on the young learner's actual interests and needs have been developed, and their impact on memorizing of the foreign language vocabulary elicited.
