On the basis of the all-round complex analysis of references, archival documents, tv-, the cinema - and video data, clauses and reviews in periodic press in the dissertation for the first time is investigated many-sided director's activity of the national actor of Ukraine Vladimir Mihajlovicha Skljarenka, last pupil Lesja Kurbasa, the pupil of a director's staff of "Berezil". Its creativity almost half century promoted updating of an aesthetics and a is art-expressive palette of national drama and musical theatre and first of all development of scenic culture and actor's skill of opera collectives of Lvov, Kharkov and Kiev which it more than thirty years headed as the main director. Steadfastly considering multivector director's searches, experiments and V.M.Skljarenka's achievements in work above statements of modern and classical plays, operettas, operas, comparing with its scenic interpretations with various on genre, style and thematic features performances of known directors, telling characteristic features of director's handwriting of the largest master, the follower and the continuer of art principles of Kurbas, the dissertator defines its contribution to histories of national theatrical culture of 20-th-70th years of XX century, its influence on processes of becoming and development of the Ukrainian direction.
