Victory А. International Succession of States on Example of Community of Independent States

In this dissertation the practice of succession of states of CIS in the aspect of participation in this process of CIS as an international organization, trends and limits of its influence on the course of succession of the former USSR international obligations, assets, liabilities and citizenship between member states determination is examined. In this work doctrinal view on succession of states, modern means of succession, development tendencies of international organizations participation in settling succession consequences, also CIS as an international organization legal character, one of the main functions of which is settling questions rising around succession of states is disclosed. Much attention is paid to national succession practice and to factors determined the realization of Ukraine’s own political and legal position about such spheres of succession as international treaties, state property and debts, citizenship etc.
