Essay

The dissertation deals with the impact that personal reflection and common activity has on evolving of creative perception and other creative abilities in adolescent music school students. The review of current research on the problem of artistic creation including creative perception, as well as on the problem of personal reflection and common activity of adolescents, was made from the perspective of general problems of developmental and educational psychology. The notion of personal reflection is elucidated as subject's awareness of his/her own activity's determinants and means. Common activity encourages its agents to exteriorize their personal meaning, thus reinforcing personal reflection. The outcomes of field experiment revealed existence of essential correlation between the level of common activity, the level of personal reflection, and the level of creative perception of music characteristic of adolescents. The artificial experiment proved that actions aimed at the development of personal reflection together with efforts to develop the common activity skills, support evolving of creative perception of music.
