Kucherovska N. Psychosemantic Structure of a Practising Psychologist's Professional Awareness.

This dissertation is dedicated to the problem of reconstructing psychosemantic structure of a practising psychologist's professional awareness. This covers both methodological and theoretical grounds and the results of psychosemantic structure research concerning practising psychologists professional awareness among specialists with different levels of professional qualification. Concurrently, it presents as a research result a specific technique of the Paradigmatic Semantic Differential, which is designed for diagnosing the level of professional training, or degree of practising psychologists' professional maturity. It is ascertained that the professional awareness structure of the highly qualified counsellors is characterized by high levels of structures and differentiations in the system of ideas and notions concerning conceptual and operational bases of their professional activity. The semantic space of professional awareness of less qualified specialists is characterized by a low dimensionality. Additional paradoxical contents of its principal components presents contradictory and inconsistent fragments of different conceptual approaches and frameworks in describing their proper practice. This fact is explained by an insufficient or even low level of paradigmatic (approach) awareness. The basic constructs of the subjective classification of different therapeutic approaches, (extracted from the results of psychosemantic reconstruction of the professional semantic space of practising psychologists consciousness of the group of experts) were taken as the basis for the Paradigmatic Semantic Differential Technique.
