Dissertation is devoted to study of genesis, problematic and poetics of Russian picaresque fiction of 1920-1930-th. Genre's evolution is examined on Russian picaresque stories and picaresque novels of the XVII-XIX centuries and Soviet picaresque prose material. The last is represented by little-known works written by A. Averchenko, Y. Berzin, A. Buhov, I. Ehrenburg, V. Ivanov, M. Roizman, Sven (I. Kremlev) and also by well-known satirical novels, which are reinterpretated ("moscow chapters" of "The Master and Margarita" by M. Bulgakov, "The Twelve Chairs" and "The Golden Gulf" by I. Il'f and E. Petrov, "Nevzorov?s Adventures, or Ibikus" by A. Tolstoy). The history of genre's scientific research, correction of term "picaresca" in it's historical and theoretical aspects, periodization of picaresque prose function in Russian adventure literature of XX-th century, the causes of genre's crisis at the end of 20-th - the beginning of 30-th are investigated in this work. On the Soviet picaresque prose materialare examined and analysed the main features of genre's transformation, specific of genre's conflict, the intrinsic features and the typology of roguish character.
