The dissertation is devoted to questions of formation of computer literacy of the teacher to be of elementary school during vocational training on a speciality "Elementary education". Computer literacy is a complex multifunctional system with numerous connections between its components. It is proved, that the essence of concept "computer literacy of the teacher to be in elementary school" is treated from positions of a parity of concepts "literacy", "erudition", "professional competence", "culture", "mentality", therefore there are different fillings of its contents. Stages of computer literacy formation of the teacher to be in elementary school are as follows: propaedeutic, basic, integrally-methodical and practically-reflexive.
