Essay

The thesis aims to investigate clauses, which define and structure human practical reason, e.g. factors determining successful goal attainment and directed action. Theoretical analysis is carried out within the framework of tradition of phenomenology of the flesh, which in the situation of shifting behaviour identifies bodily action as positional. The thesis defines bodily being as a specific form of intentionality. Body as Lebenswelt directs action towards an entity, making it objective and shapes the immediate reality of a human being, presenting it as a series of actions. Issues raised by the dissertation thesis and suggested solutions aim to develop the subject field of ontology and phenomenology by way of introducing into the modern Ukrainian philosophical discourse Plessner's phenomenology of laughing and crying and Strawson's ontology
