Dissertation thesis is devoted to the study of pregnant women's and newborn children's health in Transcarpathian region. For the first time analysis of pregnant and recently-confined women's and their newborn children's of health in the new social economical conditions was conducted as well as investigation of the influence of medical social factors set ( social -biological factors, factors accompanying women before pregnancy, during this gestation period and child-birth) on the health of newborn child and mainly on its physical development and morbidity. Diverse changes of pregnant women's and newborn children's health were discovered according to medical documents, that's why it was necessary to conduct thorough investigation. The most svidely spread risk factors recently confined women's health as well as main and risk groups of newborn children's physical development and morbidity were determined. Complex evaluation was conducted and relative quantity of increasing and decreasing morbidity level under socalled favourable and unfavourable condition was rated. Medical social peculiarities and some regularity of newborn children's physical development formation determined on risk factors basis of different aetiology favoured to work out contemporary physical development standarts of newborn children's in Transcarpathian region. Aiming on consolidation and newborn children's health improvement a model on its strengthening and ways of improvement was worked out on regional, local, personal and family levels.
