The dissertation thesis analyzes the conceptual grounds and institutional mechanisms of the EU policy in the sphere of tourism in the context of the EU unique decision-making process and the development of its common policies. The principles of the tourism policy-making and legal regulations, interaction with different EU common policies, the influence of the 2004 enlargement on the EU policy in the sphere of tourism and its perspective directions of the development are described here. The cooperation between the UE and Ukraine in the sphere of tourism is also characterized in the dissertation.
