The dissertation is dedicated to the problem of development of neomythological tendencies in the Ukrainian chorus creative work of the 1980 - 90, neomythologism becoming as an art-stylistic trend. In the research the concept of neomythologism is defined more precisely, its aesthetically - art, typological and musically - stylistic characteristics, different displays in the individual composers' styles are revealed. Mythopoetical concepts of the old Ukrainian musical - ritual folk-lore as a conceptual-stylistic basis of neomythologism are generalized in the dissertation. Works of Ukrainian composers L. Dychko and J. Alzhniev are analyzed from the point of original interpretation of the national mythological tradition, embodiment of typological signs of neomythologism on different structural semanthical levels, revealing peculiarities of mythopoetical apprehension. Thus, mythologism is interpreted as an aesthetic phenomenon, style dominant, which plays an important part in the development of genre - stylistic, musical - figurative, art - stylistic spheres of the Ukrainian chorus art of the XX century.
