Essay

Within the thesis was conducted the complex analysis of the problem of thematic control of educational achievements of students 5th grade through 7th grade on history of Ukraine and was expounded the experiment technique, based on principles of competency-oriented teaching. Substance and matter of the concept "thematic control of educational achievements of students on history" were specified. Author substantiated, that thematic control should be understood as an element of education-teaching process, implemented through systemic teacher-student interaction for the purpose of examination, evaluation and assessment of the level of development of history subject competence of students achieved under the process of assimilation of certain block of school historical education content. Were experimentally verified the technical conditions of the effective organization of thematic control, among which were defined the following priorities: planning of learning the material of educational topic as mastering of the block of content of several lessons with predictable results of learning on each; controlling actions systematically worked out during all lessons within the topic, realizing diagnostic and evaluating control stages; controlling actions directed on verification and assessment of subject competences on History. Typology of controlling exercises was proposed and technical recommendations were introduced, pointed towards increasing the effectiveness of thematic control within the school practice.
