Essay

In experiments on the model of brain trauma of average level of severity the dynamics of locomotor disturbances and parameters of immunological reactivity, namely T-lymphocytes function, immunoglobulines, tumor necrosis factor-alpha, blasttransformation reaction, morphometric parameters of stress- responsible organs as well as antioxidant mechanisms have been investigated. The heightened susceptibility of hippocampal structures to action of agonists of receptors of excitatory aminoacids-kainic acid and NMDA was established in posttraumatic period. The intensification of behavioral and immunological disturbances under conditions of decreasing of functional state of brain dophaminergic system in-duced via destruction of middle brain component was revealed. The protective effects of pentoxyphilline upon trauma- induced distur-bances and potentiation of it’s activity by L-deprenyl have been also established.
