Dissertation is devoted research of a history becoming and development of evolutionary morphology spine animals in Ukraine (end XIX - first third XX century) .Assignments, which are put in work, were carried out with the help of complex use of principles history and objectivity, which have caused a choice of methods of research: historical-scientific, subject-logic, problematic-chronological, systematic-functional, study of archival materials and publications, which are connected with a scientific heritage of the scientists - evolutionists, their life and activity.
