Object - the dynamics of motive of pupil's cognitive activity in actual practice at secondary school. Subject matter - psychological mechanism of motive development of teenager's cognitive activity in the process of foreign language teaching at secondary school. Methods - theoretical (analysis, generalization, classification, systematization and modeling); organizational (longitude and comparative); empirical (psycho diagnostic methods, questioning, stating and forming experiments); statistical (comparison of independent samples and correlated analysis). Novelty - for the first time the model of psychological accompany for forming and motive development of teenager's cognitive activity is worked out. This model is actual for secondary school teaching process. The complex of psychological - and - pedagogical factors is given and it provides the motive development of teenager's cognitive activity. The definition of motivation of cognitive activity is modified. The psychological classification of teaching techniques is suggested for teachers to solve the psychological problems during foreign language teaching at secondary school.
