Research topic - pre-service teachers' foreign language speaking and learning activity. Research focus - to define and scientifically specify the pedagogical conditions of foreign language teachers' training for teaching phraseology to senior pupils; to model and check the effectiveness of the process of pre-service foreign language teachers' training for teaching phraseology to senior pupils. Methods of research: theoretical and empirical. The theoretical results and novelty - the structure and essence of teaching foreign phraseology as an aspect of pre-service teachers' training for professional foreign language teaching activity has been defined; the model of pre-service foreign language teachers' training for teaching phraseology to senior pupils has been worked out and experimentally checked; the levels of professional pre-service foreign language teachers' readiness to teach phraseology to senior pupils has been identified and characterized; the notions "professional teaching activity", "readiness for professional teaching activity", "professional foreign language teaching activity" have been specified. The practical results: the special practical course, the special seminar workshop, the practical recommendations, the complex of exercises on the topic of research have been worked out; the phraseological mini-thesaurus to enrich the 4-th year students' vocabulary with phraseological units has been compiled. The results have been applied in schools and high educational establishments of pedagogical profile. The applying effectiveness is high. The sphere of applying - pedagogical, schools, high educational establishments of pedagogical profile.
