Essay

In the dissertation genological sources of the poetry of five Kyiv poets-neoclassics M.Zerov, M.Drai-Khmara, P.Fylypovich, O.Burghardt and M.Rylsky are investigated. Parallels between two phenomena of classicistic type - antique classicism and Ukrainian neoclassicism - are traced, namely, typological similar features of artistic and literary process in Rome of the "golden age" of the emperor August and that in Ukraine of 20-ies of the 20-th century (the period of so-called "shot Renaissance"), the main aspects of aethetic and poetological likeness. The main subject of research are genres of antique literature - elegy, epigram and its kinds, idyllic and panegiric genres, - how they were recepted and transformed by the Ukrainian poets of the named group. Such ways of genre transformation are determined, as stylization (ode), carnival-satyric stylization and parody (epitaph, elegy), copying (epitalam, mime, bucolic, friendly song), archaic innovation (combination of antique genre dominant - elegiac and epigrammatic - with younger forms of sonnet and sonnetoid), intersemiotic genre interpretation (including non-literary discourse - architectural and sculptural - into literary texts - exfrasis), emergence of neoclassic variants of ancient genres of elegy and idyll.
